Unique Lenique’s Beauty Spot’s “Hair for Heroes” is a Wigs for Veterans program that provides custom cranial prosthetics/medical wigs for this specialized demographic of clients. Our employees are fully trained Cosmetologists Licensed by the Texas State Board of Cosmetology, and we can customize your alternative hair inside our private full-service salon at U L Beauty Spot. We also, specialize in custom constructed cranial prosthetics for medical hair loss with various diagnoses i.e. various Alopecia conditions, chemotherapy secondary to cancer, Lupus, Diabetes, Thyroid Disorders, Burns/Scarring and many others.
What You Need to Know
Make a Consultation Request to your Primary Care Physician at the VA Hospital for an evaluation of your hair loss. During this appointment, you will discuss your need for a custom cranial prosthetic due to your hair loss condition. Some physician may require you to see a specialist, i.e. Dermatologist for your prescription. During your consultation, our Hair Replacement Specialist will assist you in choosing the best option for you including cap style, hair texture, hair color, density, etc.
We will then submit this information to the local VA Prosthetic Department to secure your claim, once approved, our manufacturers will begin constructing your prosthetic specifically designed for you.
Upon completion, we will contact you for pick up or delivery…IT’S JUST THAT EASY at no cost to you!
